White Horse
Listening to: White Horse by Taylor Swift
"I'm not a princess, this ain't a fairytale
I'm not the one you'll sweep off her feet
Lead her up the stairwell
This ain't Hollywood, this is a small town
I was a dreamer before you went and let me down
Now it's too late for you and your white horse
To come around"
These lyrics are amazing - so much emotion, so much power, put into just a few words. True for parts of my life, at least at the moment. For example, me and Mitchell. If I were a princess and we were living a fairytale, I would be the girl of his dreams. Fact is, I'm not. He hasn't let me down, not once, but he has hurt me without meaning to. I used to be a daydreamer, but ever since all this business with him I'm scared to close my eyes, because all I see is images of him and Kristi together. He told me once that if things didn't work out with the two of them that he may consider going out with me, but that wouldn't heal the hurt he has caused me in the past.
Now to explain the meaning of these lyrics to my sister.
